MOU OF SOMALILAND NATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION(SLNHC) AND HORN OF AFRICA COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT ORGANIZATION (HACE)

The meeting, which included the Horn of Africa Community Empowerment Organization (HACE) and the Somaliland National Human Rights Commission (SLNHC), included:

-On February 13, 2025, the first meeting between the Horn of Africa Community Empowerment Organization (HACE) and the Somaliland National Human Rights Commission (SLNHC) was held at the SLNHC office.

Focus of the Meeting:

2. Capacity Building: Training opportunities and Life Skills Education projects to enhance the human rights of prisoners in prisons.
3. Community Engagement: Methods to raise public awareness and participation on human rights issues, encouraging local people to engage with both organizations.
4. Joint Initiatives: Possible projects or campaigns
5. Monitoring and Reporting: Developing mechanisms to effectively monitor human rights situations and report violations to local and international stakeholders.
6. Methods to Promote Children in Orphanages and Prison Training: Developing a schedule and effective activities to further collaborate and evaluate progress on the initiatives discussed.
