Visit and Cooperation between Horn of Africa Community Empowerment Organization and University of Hargeisa

On June 18-25, 2025, representatives from the Horn of Africa Community Empowerment Organization (HACE) visited the University of Hargeisa to inspect the library constructed by the Mayor of Hargeisa, Mr. Abdikarim Agmed Moogeh. The purpose of the visit was to evaluate the university’s current situation and to explore avenues for collaboration.

During the meeting, HACE underscored the importance of working closely with the University of Hargeisa, emphasizing that such cooperation is vital for the development of the university’s facilities—particularly the library—and for the broader benefit of the people of Somaliland. The organization expressed its willingness to support efforts aimed at strengthening the university’s resources and infrastructure.

HACE members held discussions with the university leadership, including the Chancellor and various faculty members, to identify specific areas where support and partnership could be most effective. The meeting aimed to foster a collaborative relationship that would enhance the university’s capacity to serve its students and the wider community.
