Horn of Africa Community Empowerment

HACE is a local non-governmental, non-political, non-profit-making and voluntary organization founded to promote good governance, development of democracy and decentralization through communities/civil society’s empowerment. Constitution for HACE-LNGO  However, HACE believes that empowering the grass-roots communities by organizing and mobilizing them actively involve and influencing in policies and decision-making processes that affecting their developmental interests will promote good governance in their territories. And the good governance in which all segments of the communities participate and involve actively in the decision-making process for their development is the base for achieving sustainable development. The motto of organization is “everyone should contribute ideas/experience and inputs to his or her country, what he or she can.” to achieve sustainable livelihoods at all levels. 

Our Mission

Our Mission to serve individuals and families in the poorest communities through mobilizing and organizing human intelligence, efforts and earning their livelihoods from their natural resources in a sustainable way. HACE’s is committed to work for the vulnerable poor communities attaining sustainable livelihoods and peace through advocacy, capacity building, and promotion of good governance, rehabilitation and development of the productive, environment and social service sectors. Drawing strengths from the global diversity resources and promote innovative solutions to overcome poverty in the world.

Our Vision

We envision that HACE to lead sustainable development through empowering the grassroots communities to equally benefit their natural resources where people are amicably sharing information/experiences, cooperating and consulting together to end poverty, violence and all types of conflicts around the world.

Our Goals

1. Promote good governance that contributes sustainable peace and development in Somaliland. 2. Reducing poverty and improving livelihoods for the poor vulnerable communities in Somaliland by increasing the productive capacity for the major economic sectors and access to appropriate social services.
